AfterTone is operated by True North Analytics (ABN 24 726 502 584) in Sydney, Australia. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

About you. Your name, email address, mobile number and business details when you build an assistant or subscribe. Payment details are collected and stored by Stripe; we never see your full card number.

About your callers. When your assistant answers a call we process the caller's phone number, the audio of the call, a transcript, and a summary. This is the service: it exists so you can read what the caller said.

Business profile. Anything you enter in your dashboard so the assistant can answer callers: hours, services, prices, contacts, FAQs.

Usage. Standard web logs and privacy-friendly analytics on the public website. If Google Analytics is enabled, IP addresses are anonymised.

How we use it

  • To answer your calls, generate summaries and deliver them to you by email and, on the relevant plan, SMS.
  • To run your account, bill you, and send service messages such as setup reminders.
  • To provide support and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use call content to advertise to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use these providers to deliver the service. Each processes only what it needs and is bound by its own privacy terms: Vapi (voice calls and transcription), Anthropic (call summaries and AI assistance), Twilio (phone numbers and SMS), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Supabase (database and login) and Vercel (hosting). Some of these providers process data outside Australia, including in the United States.

Callers

Your assistant introduces itself by name and states honestly that it is an AI assistant if asked. You are responsible for meeting any obligations you have to your callers, including telling them that calls may be recorded where the law requires it. Our terms explain this further.

Retention

Call summaries and transcripts stay in your dashboard while your subscription is active. Ninety days after cancellation we delete your calls and assistant configuration. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Test calls made from the try page are deleted after 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your dashboard is by email magic link. Only you, and staff providing support at your request, can see your calls.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your personal information at any time by emailing support@aftertone.com.au. If you have a complaint we will respond within 30 days; you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
