AfterTone vs voicemail

Most people who hit voicemail hang up. The ones who leave a message rarely say what you need to know. AfterTone answers instead, has a short conversation, and sends you the answers to the questions you would have asked.

When voicemail is the better choice

If you get one or two calls a week and none of them are worth money, voicemail is fine. AfterTone earns its keep when a single missed job or client is worth more than $49.

Questions people ask

Can I keep voicemail as a backup?
You can, but calls forwarded to AfterTone are answered by the assistant, so your carrier voicemail is only reached if AfterTone cannot be reached, which is rare.
Does it replace my carrier's visual voicemail app?
Yes, in practice. Summaries live in your email and dashboard instead.
