AfterTone started with a simple observation: most small businesses in Australia are one person and a phone, and the phone rings when that person is busy doing the work. Voicemail does not help. Nobody leaves a useful message, and most callers do not leave one at all.
So we built an assistant that answers instead. It has a short, natural conversation with the caller, asks the questions you would ask, and sends you a summary you can act on. Not a transcript to wade through, a note that says who called, why, and what to do next.
What we care about
- Honesty with callers. The assistant introduces itself by name and says it is an AI if asked. It never pretends to be you.
- Your phone rings first. We only step in when you cannot. Nothing about how your customers reach you changes.
- No lock-in. A flat monthly price, cancel any time, and clear instructions for turning forwarding off.
- Australian by default. Australian numbers, Australian voices, Australian time zones and public holidays, and support from Sydney.
